Possible Airplane Part Found Ashore At Gili Lankanfushi Maldives

15 Sep 2015: An object that looks like part of an airplane wing has been found washed ashore at Gili Lankanfushi Maldives. The object was discovered this morning. The resort has reported it to Maldives National Defence Force - MNDF, and did not comment further saying the case is under investigation by the MNDF.

Photos appear to be similar wing parts of fighter jets.

Few months back, an object looking like part of wing was found at Banyan Tree Maldives Vabbinfaru and case was under investigation by the police. Upon discovery of that object more were found in other islands which later found was nothing related to aircraft. But, the piece from Vabbinfaru island had physical features of aircraft part and authorities have so far not conclusively said anything on that.

Disappearance of Malaysian Airlines MH370 is said to be the most mysterious in the industry. After more than an year, the only confirmed piece of debris from MH370 is the flaperon found washed up on Reunion Island.
