Trapped Dolphins Rescued In Maldives

17 Apr 2014: A couple of dolphins got trapped in the shallow waters at Maavah, Laamu Atoll Maldives. Locals believe the dolphins have entered that area last night when the tide was high. When it turned to low tide they got trapped and could not get out to open water.

Local police received a report of trapped dolphins this morning around 8.30. The high tide happens in the afternoon these days, it was planned to be rescued this afternoon.


Locals gathered to rescue 6 feet long creatures

While trapped in small area of shall waters the locals gathered to see the creatures. The dolphins were seen friendly and as if asking for help.
